SYSTEM OF A DOWN

BIOGRAPHIE

Le groupe américain de métal alternatif System of a Down naît au milieu des années 90 de la collaboration entre le chanteur Serj Tankian, le guitariste Daron Malakian, du bassiste Shavo Odadjian et du batteur John Dolmayan. La formation californienne commence par avoir du succès chez les puristes du metal à Los Angeles puis sa notoriété s'étend à l'Amérique, à l'Europe et à la Nouvelle Zélande. En 1998, System of a Down sort son 1er album éponyme dont est extrait le single Sugar et fait la 1ère partie notamment du groupe Slayer. SOAD fait son retour à la rentrée 2001, avec Toxicity, un nouvel opus. Fin 2002 paraît Steal This Album. Au debut de 2005 ils sont sortis Mezmeriz qui cartonne bien avec B.Y.O.B.
